BT Bill £97.96

I have a problem with my teens calling mobiles & using the phone:

Looking at my 9th Jan 07 BT bill:
201 mobiles calls £62.25
42 daytime calls: £6.15
30 eve & w/end calls: £1.38
6 x 0870 nos £2.898
4 x 0845 nos £0.52
Call return fees 6 £0.378
other calls. £0.446

Total with VAT/Service charge £97.96

Thanks to the advice here I have just registered with 18185, ordered free caller display & call barring with BT and called Primus Saver 2, but as the bill is in my OH name he will need to speak to them. I've thought about the Orchid dialler, but am wondering if it will be too complicated for me to set up.

Is there anything else I can do to bring the cost down?

Thank you.

I used to run up big bills when I was a teen. Then my parents made me make all mobile calls from my own mobile. Amazing how many of those calls I really didn't *need* to make.

Hi, the orchid dialler is easy to set up despite what you might have read/heard/believe. Please speak to Maggie at Orchid (mention me) and she will be able to allay your fears. 01536443677

get one of those small "pay phone" phones that need coins to work (you can have a pin for when you the bill payer wants to use it). Then give them an allowance that has to pay for their calls for the month and when its gones its gone! They will soon get their mates to call them.
are you sitting comfortably?, then I'll begin.....
    was at 01/01/07 now 03/07/07

overdraft was 1500 now 1360 must try harder.

loan was 13705.24 now 9791.62 due to be paid off 01/02/2011 but gonna aim for 01/05/2009!!

amex cc was 4210 now 3650.48 lobt at 4.9% due to be paid off in 01/02/08
total owed was £19415.24 now its £14802.10 going down!!!:money:
I am proud to be dealing with my debt!

It's a monthly bill. Is it cheaper to call mobile to mobile rather than use 18185? If so why & how i.e. which phone/tariff/network etc.

    Thanks.
