Good evening all,
Firstly sorry for posting here, I couldn't locate a forum thread for catalogue related enquiries.
Just looking for a few legal pointers if ok with regard to my wifes Very catalogue account.
All operating correctly, payments made on time etc and enquiry not in relation to this.
My wife placed a few orders for christmas over the past few weeks, all parcels have arrived except one.
She left it for a while then contacted them to be advised that is was delivered and signed for, however, we honestly have not received it.
My wife has advised them this (and it should be noted that this parcels contents where actually of much lower value then others) and they advised they would forward a signature from delivery.
Totally gobsmacked and lost as we honestly have not received it, we have checked with neighbours and neither have received it on our behalf and the time they said it was signed for, someone always at home at that time.
Any pointers etc would be greatly appreciated to this as at minute it is on my wifes account and they seem pretty addiment that we have received it?
Thank you

See what signature is on the delivery record and take it from there.0

Have received this today, just a scribble and looks like a A. Nobody in this household has / would sign something unrecognisable.
Thank you mate0 -
Then I guess you need to raise a formal complaint with them in writing. See where that gets you (they may give a goodwill refund). Failing that, I don;t think yo;ll have anywhere else to claim from, as I assume the credit is on the Very account, not on a credit card (where you may be able to invoke section 75).0

Thank you mate
Most likley the courier has signed it themself.
have you got any neighbours further away?0 -
Thank you.
Yes it is on the wifes catalogue account.
One neighbour has been away for past 2 months and other hasn't signed for it.
Nothing worse someone not doing there job properly and in what little time we have to ourselves each day we have to spend it trying to do there chuffin job. So frustrating.
Thank you for your replies.0 -
Is there a mews, flat or similar on your road with the smae number? My neighbour had an ongoing problem with catalogue deliveries never arriving althought they'd been signed for. Turned out they'd been being delivered to flat 2 instead of number 2. Also my brother used to have to send delivery driver over to 1 B Mews as lots of things used to come to him at 1 B Rd. Just a thought?
Have you tried next door but one neighbours or the ones opposite?

Contact Very and tell them the signature is not your's they should send a replacement and claim off the courier.0 -
No there are only houses in street, no flats etc, however, there are 3 roads named close, way and road. It has not been un-common for us to receive letters etc from others and vice versa. However I have checked with these other addresses and neither state they have received it, obviously as it from a catalogue, they may indeed have it but I am not about to go and accuse anybody.
We have told them it is not anybodies in the house and they have replied saying send a copy of signatures from driving licences etc within the next 10 days and they may credit the account. Dont appreciate us being classed as thieves, value of this missing parcel £50, previous parcels received value much higher.
We have advised them that if they check all scans from previous parcels received they would see the signature not correct.0 -
My MIL very delivery man leaves parcels in all kinds of places, the recycling bin, under garden table, behind shed etc
its very annoying especially when she waits in for parcels only to find them somewhere silly
i'd check ur recycling bin if have one0 -
Have checked them places however wouldn't be a good idea for any delivery person to deliver to shed, tables or bins as all in back garden where two beefy rotties are. If the parcel was there, there would still be a delivery driver present, maybe not with all limbs in correct places lol.
Its amazing really, working 15 hour days over 6 days week and due to one person not doing job properly, the rare minutes of day we have we have to spend chasing this mistake.
Where is the love lol0
