in Credit cards
Hello,
I think I want a credit card but I do not have a job currently (I quit my last job first week of Nov and will get work soon , I have had interviews and have temp work lined up).
So my question is should I get a credit card? If so what one? And only one?
I spend a lot on Petrol driving 25 miles a day (When I work), should I get a card just for petrol?
I spend a lot in supermarkets, sainsburys being closet. Should I get a card just for food shopping?
At the moment I have 2 basic current accounts and one savings account.
Sorry to sound simple, I just want the best deal for me
.
Many thanks,
A not so angry, angry Pete.

Once you have secured new permanent employment you might be able to get a credit card.
If you have no credit accounts currently then even once your are employed you'll probably only be able to get a subprime credit card - which will have an expensive APR. As long as you only use the card for purchases and not cash advances and as long as you stick within the limit pay the card on time in full each month then the high APR won't make any difference.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Well, if you only have basic current accounts, your not going to get a main stream credit card, So capital one, vanquis etc will be your best best.
However, do you need one?
As your not working, i personal would advise against it.If you keep on doing what's you've always done, you'll keep on being what you've always been...:think:0
