Is this not an attempt to take advantage of the skilled workforce that has (or is about to) be made unemployed because of the loss of the Bombadier contract? I doubt there will be much of a net job gain at all. Sorry to be pessimistic but this is not going to have the people of Derby rushing to pay more to purchase houses.0

Who wants to move to Derby?
Anyway I am sure there are enough people in Derby who are skilled enough to use bolt guns or press a button for a auto-welder.
As for engineers I am sure the will find some redundant Bombardier engineers in the area also who already have homes.
Basically your argument is bollox.Not Again0 -
Phil Green must be wrong, you can't disagree with the sage words of MrRee, surely?0

How many properties will Mr Ree be buying in Derby on the back of this hot tip...
The news itself is good for an area blighted by unemployment recently. However to think that house prices will boom on the back of it.... It may slow down the falls a little bit perhaps.0 -

They don't just transfer across.
There is every possibility that 1,500 homes will be needed ..... extra homes!
And that is what drives a local property boom.Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0
