i was wondering what taxes you pay for holding US securities in the UK, in particular within an ISA.
Both capital gains, and dividend payments. Does anyone know?

Nothing on CGT within ISA, 15% or 30% tax on dividend payments. Lower rate of 15% if W-8BEN form submitted through provider beforehand due to US-UK taxation agreement. Can read through a previous thread on same topic here:

Thanks James.
I read on another forum that iii.co.uk don't allow W-8BEN so you cant get the 15% rate. Anyone experienced this?Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.0
