I used to have an Egg card but when it was changing to Barclaycard I cancelled it. This was due to previous problems with Barclays and Barclaycard. However, Egg was far and away the best internet card I've come across. I could alter payments to whatever I wanted at will, pay the minimum required or pay a regular lump sum all via the internet.
Is there another card out there that does exactly the same? Both my PO and Yorkshire bank cards set up to pay via DD's need me to make phone calls to alter payments. Not my favourite way of conducting business.

I manage my Lloyds TSB credit card purely through the internet, I have it set up as a receipent on my internet banking and just pay whatever I want throughout the month through my current account. TBH I thought most credit cards accept transfers from a current account and thus could be paid at any time if you have internet banking.0

I've only looked on the YB site and I don't know which of their CCs you have but both the Mastercard Gold and Visa Standard appear to allow electronic payments (including DD) so I'm not really sure what your problem is.0

They allow electronic payments, yes, which I use. However, I originally signed up to pay off in full. To alter this I have to phone them up. On Egg I just went onsite and providing there were still 5 days to the payment date I could alter it to whatever I wanted online.0

Right, so you want to have the full payment by DD set up but have the flexibility to amend it online before it's taken. Seems like a good option if you can find it, I have to say that none of my cards would allow that, they tell me on the bill what they're going to take and that's what will happen. I'm a bit surprised that anyone would allow it, maybe it was an Egg-only thing and it'll now disappear.0

If you want to make a regular payment just set up a standing order at your bank (on the internet).
Just about every card can be managed entirely on the internet these days. Ones without online access are getting rarer. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.

While a SO can achieve the same end result it would require intervention every month to make the payment at the level the OP wants, whereas if there is a full payment DD set up then if the money is available to pay no action is required, the OP would only have to change the amount on the odd occasion that the full amount isn't available.0
