We live not too far from Leicester. I don't know if there is a big Chinese community there?0 -
Hey there,
We live in Nottingham and there is loads of stuff happening for Chinese New Year. We are not too far from Leicester.
On Saturday 17th February from 1pm - 5.30 there is a big display in Beeston town centre. Dragon dances, acrobats etc etc.
On 18th February there is a firework display and more dancers at the University of Nottingham (next to the lake).
See the following website for more details.

If you're in London, the Chinese New Year celebrations is on Sunday 18th Feb.
NB. Make sure you take care of valuable items (wallets, etc, etc), as pickpockets also target these festivities unfortunately!!!
