A bit confused by the MSE article as it refers to OVOs variable rate tariff. I thought OVO had just two tariffs New and Green both fixed.

It offered a variable rate tariff option during it's initial 6-7 months of trading (Sept 2009 - April 2010)

(Also at that time it offered those choosing fixed rate tariffs to transfer to variable rate after the expiry of the fixed rate ... but can't remember if they stuck to this after withdrawing variable rate tariffs to new customers by April 2010)
