I'm glad your financially savvy!! Can't imagine many 20 year olds are! Again a s.o.a would sort this out. Your planning for contingencies which is good but these cost should already be accounted for.

You have a car, motoring costs should be factored in, you know it'll need maintenance, mot, tax and insurance.

You know you need petrol and haven't factored this in your costs, you'll use it y not include it!?
It's gonna be extremely difficult for you to have a positive cash flow and is kinda to be expected! There are things that do crop up that no one could plan just make sure u plan what u know!

Most homeowners don't have the kinda contingencies your on about and realistically what might pop up that'll cost more than £100?! Uve got a new car it's fair to say it should be reliable as such maintenance should be lower

    Thank you very much Spadoosh!
I've got an S.O.A planned for tonight, brushing all aside and seeing what I can realistically do.
I thank you all for bringing me down to earth, I guess I was hoping that there might be some loophole I could use (unlikely as it was)!
But you're absolutely right, I'll see if I can cut some costs -- no doubt I can somewhere.

    @lissyloo;

Thanks for the confirmation, I assumed that was the case, I'm just hoping on best case scenarios at the moment and trying to be as safe as possible in the event of a problem. And absolutely I understand, all of the advice here is golden for me, so no need to worry. I'm on the ball enough to understand you know finances more than I do. ;)

Thanks again guys, appreciate the input a lot!

You sound like a sensible lad, do your SOA and take it from there.

Do you pay your parents any 'board and lodge'
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

I do indeed, although it's a token amount at best considering the price of renting at the moment.

    And thank you!

Just as an aside, why do you need 2 phones, if anyone has asked before, sorry I missed it.

A very good question -- It's a throwback from better financial times when I was helping out my Girlfriend.
It has been covered on my SOA and will be cut.

    Thanks.
