  • Download it from the official website for the best security and not from a mirror site (as suggested above).

Don't be cheeky, newbie. There is no direct download from the Malwarebytes website. It will go through CNET...and most of us know all about their wrappers.
Though Malwarebytes have declined to have a CNET wrapper on their product.

Any experienced poster here will know that my bleepingcomputer link is clean.

Since you hardly post here at all, I guess I can overlook your blunder.
  • Please don't patronise me, I do not appreciate sarcastic comments, I realise it downloads through CNET and I always like to take the option linked to on their official website. I am very cautious from where I download from. And yes, I have no idea the validity or how safe bleepingcomputer is as I don't post that often, I will admit that. Please don't call it a blunder, I am not technically nieve you know. I don't like it when people asume your a 'newb' just because you haven't been on the forum that long.

My post wasn't aimed to detract from yours or criticise it in any way, I was just providing an alternative for the cautious users amongst us who do not know how safe bleepingcomputer is.

Your statement may have held more water if you had not written this...
and not from a mirror site (as suggested above)

It would not have been difficult to check the provenence of my link before posting.
Instead you posted without checking and delivered a direct insult.

Never mind, I take it all in good humour and hope that you do too. ;)

Yes I admit, I was probably too quick to post, but live and learn is what I say.

You make mistakes so that you can learn from them, that is my view.

All in good humour as you said, I don't like arguing on forums, at the end of the day all i want to do is provide information that is helpful and relevent to people reading the posts :) (And I didn't mean to insult anyone :) )
