Samsung LE32R74BDX screen issues

Hi,

I bought a Samsung LE32R74BDX in Feb 2007 for £599. The screen has now got light black patches on it, noticeable when watching a green background ie football. Believe this is screenburn?

Just wondering if this can be rectified cheaply or has it had its day?

Would I be able to get Samsung to look at it? Should it last longer than this?

Thanks in advance!

  • Modern LCD/LED TVs don't get screenburn, I have read, it was only really something CRTs suffered from.

Did you get a 5 year warrantly with the set? Obv that would be useful now.

I don't believe this can be rectified cheaply, if at all, I'm sorry to say.

  • Not really sure about the warrenty or how to check, but I doubt it. how long should a tv last?
