Capital One - No February Statement yet...

Options
Has anyone else not had a statement from Capital One for February ? I have not had a paper one so checked online and there is no February statement there either. Statements are usually dated 28th of the month, checked my payment date and I have to pay by 23rd month luckily I still have time but I bet this is one of their schemes to get you to pay late....

  • No such problems to report - I received my statement both online and in the post on the normal date.
    Mortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000
    Mortgage July 2007 - £0
Original Mortgage Termination Date - Nov 2018
    Mortgage Interest saved - £63790.60
    ISA Profit since Jan 1st 2015 - 98.2% (updated 1 Dec 2020)
  • Be careful. Your statement might have been intercepted by someone trying to pass them off as you ie PHISING.
I would check with Capital One that someone has not changed your address.

It could also be that it is lost in the postal system. You say that it is not available on line either? Are you able to view previous months statements online?

  • I can view my previous months online Nov, Dec & Jan are there but February is not there. I am contacting Capital One although as the online statement is not there either I tend to think it is more or their doing rather than postal interception although you are right to point that out.

  • Just recieved this from Capital One... Looks like they have had problems with their online service again...

Thank you for your secure message telling us that you have been experiencing problems viewing your February 2005 statement on-line.

We recently experienced difficulties which our in-house technical specialists have now fixed. You will be able to view your future statements as normal.

I understand that unfortunately you haven't received the paper copy of your statement either. I've arranged to send you a free copy of the statement in question. This will be sent through the postwithin the next seven days.

As you are aware, it's very important that you keep your payments up to date even if your statement is late for any reason. You should get your statements up to 10 working days after the 28th of each month. Your minimum payment is always due 26 days later. This date may change slightly because of weekends and bank holidays, but this should only ever make a difference of one or two days.

Thank you for using our internet services.

Lee Powell is one extremely busy man. Ever letter I've had from Capital One, and every secure message on their website has been from him...
