Anyone heard of this company Pegasus?

My dad received a call from this company today looking for my brother in order to reclaim PPI (from Santander i think) anyway dad informed them my bro is now married and moved etc.. So the guy asked my dad if they had taken loans etc which dad said probably (this gets left to mum!). Mum arrived just in from work then and she spoke to him, they've told her they could get £2000 from a HFC loan (mum must've given details of this, tho I'm not sure as not wanting to alarm her yet?), she then asked how much it would cost them and he replied "why would it cost you anything, it's your money you're getting back"??? So mum has agreed and they are sending out paper-work. I've tried googling them but nothing comes up?? Want to check in case my parents are being hood-winked!!!

Please help.

Whoever they are, I very much doubt they provide a service for free...

Advise your parents to read everything VERY carefully and not to sign anything unless they are 100% certain what they're agreeing to. A lot of people have had their fingers burnt by claims companies.

You only have to look through a few threads on this forum to see how much the typical charges are, and the problems that come with them.

A firm which genuinely didn't charge a fee wouldn't exist for very long -who would pay the staff's wages?

Do this yourself, shred the paperwork they send you.
In the first place they will not know that you can claim £2000 in ppi, they do not have this info.
Tell your mum to phone MOJ and complain, they dont know anything about your mums finances and have no access to this info.

Look here for how to claim if you were mis sold ppi
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

You only need the account number and reasons for mis sell, post the questionnaire off to the bank (this entails walking to the post office!) this is all the claims co will do and take a %plus vat.
Give it a go and save your mum some cash.
If you need anymore help just ask.
We give info for 0% and no vat.
