I am so sick of this company.
Had an incorrect default from them when the debt had been settled by Capital One and was incorrectly sold on.
After a lot of dealings with various managers at Cabot, emails back and forth, it was removed from my credit file and they apologised with email confirmation on the 21/10/11
I now got an alert today saying there was a change to my credit file and they have put it back on under Cabot with the same amount, date etc.
I am at my wits end with this, what can i do???

thanks, id actually not thought of that. Will they remove it based on that? i really cant deal with talking to cabot again
I dont understand how they can just put it back on0 -
More than likely you will need to speak to Cabot again but given you have confirmation from them they might remove it... or at least contact Cabot to investigate... the process should be set out on the credit refs company's webpages under FAQs

i have emailed cabot and equifax now. It was never sold on to them, i dealt with capquest and paid it through them, so there's no 'might' about it, i have a confirmation email saying it was removed.
it was indeed removed 2 days later and had a letter from them apologising.
Have no idea why this is now back on0
