is he violent in any way?

who paid the house deposit, is it documented, whose name is the house in, was there an agreement on who owned what %age?

does she have funds to fight a nasty battle in court?

does she care about her future credit rating?

If the house is also in his name then no. The house is half his so you can't make him leave or move out, I understand how hard this must be as my friend is going through this at the moment.
