Silly question but it might be quicker than me asking tomorrow. Can I open a Hong Kong Dollar account at HSBC in the UK?

It looks like currency accounts are only available through HSBC Offshore. A brief search didn't reveal what currencies are available, but did find that you need a minimum of £25K to open the account.

If you've had an account with HSBC anywhere in the world for more than 6 months, they'll remotely open a HKD account for you in Hong Kong, which would be much more useful than a UK-based HKD account.0
