Does anyone know if you can part use an e-voucher when booking tickets?
I exchanged £25 of Tesco's vouchers, which has given me one £75 redspottedhanky e-voucher, but I only want to buy a £17.50 train ticket with it.0 -

Just tick the voucher you want to use and the website will show the remaining balance against that same voucher.0 -

Problem is, the tickets & prices for my trip aren't available yet so am I risking my vouchers by exchanging them?
We are off to London for the marathon (Glasgow to London) so for 2 adults, 2 kids by my attempts at pricing this is going to be at least £200 (based on Feb prices so no doubt more in APril). I also entered that I have a F&F Railcard which I dont yet but would get one before booking.
Is the experience of people that this is by far the best way to book rail travel and to just take the plunge and be ready to book as and when the tickets are available?
Really sorry -- I have only just seen your post. I hope you converted your vouchers. You can spend them when you are ready -- the expiry date is well into the future, though I can't quite remember what it is.0 -

Don't worry - I just went for it. Converted £55 worth (all I had) so if my memory serves me correctly it's £165 worth of tickets which will certainly go a very long way, if not all the way to buy the tickets. Now just to wait for them to become available. Won't actually mind if it is after the next lot of clubcards then i can buy my railcard too!If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:0 -
Thanks so much for this - I managed to get train tickets for our family to go to London. We're off to the Doctor Who exhibition at O2 (also courtesy of Tesco vouchers). This has meant we can afford the trip as so far it has cost us nothing. We could never have afforded it otherwise. This will make my kids day when they find out. I had no idea you could get train travel on these vouchers so thank you so much and a very happy xmas !Reverts to 2x on 1 December, but if you exchange now at 3x, the Tesco evouchers are valid for over 9 years. See below
Thank you for your email regarding vouchers.
I can confirm that all Tesco e-vouchers will remain on your account until December 31st 2020.
I can confirm that e-vouchers did have an expiry of 6 months before, but we have now changed this so that all of them do last until December 2020, this is due to the popularity of the vouchers.
I do apologise for any inconvenience caused as Tesco should be aware of this.
The only time vouchers are valid for 6 months or a year, is if they have been refunded.
Edit - Just to clarify the email above is direct from RSH. I phoned them last week and was told the same thing. Decided to email them so that I would have it in writing. This does not apply to the MSE £5 & £10 promotion codes- these are valid until 31st December 2012 only0
