Tesco 3x Redspottedhanky - important information

  • Hi,

The only thing to be aware of, before you move all your Tesco Club Card vouchers to RSH, is that they currently don't sell the Group Save 3 and Group Save 4 tickets.

    http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/group-save.apex

These style of tickets usually work out cheaper for me than Family and Friends tickets, as you can use the adult ticket for a kids

I now have a RSH account with a few hundred quid in, that will take me a lot longer to spend.

There does seem to be some uncertainty from RSH , as when they responded to a Facebook comment, they said they would be issueing group save from next April, but when they responded to an email, they said, they would not be.

Its certainly a good deal for clubcard point at three time value, but be careful if you use these style of tickets.

    Cheers
  • Hi

Just got my clubcard voucher through from red spotted hanky. Slightly confusing as their email says:

Thank you for redeeming your Tesco Clubcard vouchers for an e-voucher with redspottedhanky. We have created your e-voucher and it is now available in your account to use for redemption against train tickets on our site.
Your e-vouchers are valid for 6 months*, so it will be waiting for you when you are ready to go. All you need to do to redeem it is make a booking!
Please note that when using your voucher please check the e-voucher box on the payment page, once the box has been checked the actual amount to pay on screen will not alter, but only the balance of the transaction will be taken on your card and not the full amount. If the voucher is more than the total cost, the remaining balance will be left on your voucher for your next purchase.

But on checking my account on Red Spotted Hanky it definately says 31/12/20!

I suppose the only danger we have got is that they go bankrupt / stop trading in the next year or so - because they are a new company aren't they? (... and take our evouchers with them!)

or are they a front for a big long standing company - does anyone know?
They are owned by ATOS so unlikely to be going down the pan any time soon.
At redspottedhanky.com we are part of the Atos IT Services UK Limited family of companies and as such operate within their policies.

Only a few years ago, I'd be saying the same about Woolworths, TJ Hughes, Northern Rock, Land of Leather, Rover cars, and plenty of other companies. Anyone hear about the Thomas Cook scare?

I've just had an email saying that if we book via Facebook, we get double loyalty points.
  • This worked a treat for me and just at the right time too - thanks all!!

I did see this post on another forum of mse somewhere but if you want 3x tesco vouchers for RSH then you have to do it by 30 Nov because on 1 Dec it changes to 2x. I have converted vouchers twice and the value has been in my RSH acount about 28 hrs later in general. I didn't convert my tesco vouchers quick enough last week to pay for all my tickets on saturday so I had to pay part by credit card. I had anticipated it would be in my acount within 24 hrs but as I say it took a little over 24 hrs so thought I'd mention it in case it helps anyone to plan.
  • Must do this tonight. thanks for the reminder :)
  • I am really wanting to convert the remaining clubcard vouchers I have into RSH credit. I have about £65 at present which would give me close to £200 if doing it before 1st December.

Problem is, the tickets & prices for my trip aren't available yet so am I risking my vouchers by exchanging them?

We are off to London for the marathon (Glasgow to London) so for 2 adults, 2 kids by my attempts at pricing this is going to be at least £200 (based on Feb prices so no doubt more in APril). I also entered that I have a F&F Railcard which I dont yet but would get one before booking.

Is the experience of people that this is by far the best way to book rail travel and to just take the plunge and be ready to book as and when the tickets are available?
If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:
