New Business Account - Poor credit?

Hi All

Well I have a poor credit raiting at this moment, however we are at the Ombudsman and aiming to get this removed, we have been given compensation for the issue but the items have still not been removed.

Anyway the above is ongoing and I can't speed it up.

I need to open a basic business account as we are about to open our catering business and "burger van". I want the account so that I can manage everything in the "right" way and follow all of the normal business procedures.
I am now concerned that the above is going to prevent me from doing this, I don't want to wait to open the account as we are already 6 months behind on the project.

Can anyone advise, if this will prevent me from opening the account?

Is there a certain account I should go for with this problem?

Or do I really have to await the removal of the negative points?

Wait until the problem has been sorted out. It won't you any favours applying.

When you have got everything done and dusted, ensure you open up a business account. Also have you advised your local Council and recieved all the H & S, Hygiene, PLI, Product Liability certificates/insurance?

Thanks for the reply, yes we have registered with the Council, we are awaiting our inspection but I am told this can be 6 months after you open, liability insurance we are due to start the day we open or the day before and this includes all of the insurance required for our small business, we are doing this through a trade group (subscription).
