it has been working fine for the past few months, since it was installed
    sorry, but wots encryption.
i didnt install it, it was the sky man who did it, i dont have a clue

  • does it work wired with an ethernet cable?

encryption is scrambling the signal so that your neighbours can't attach to your network.

i can get dial up on it
that wot i am using now
which incidentally seems to be faster than the broadband when i could access the web pages

  • I meant wired to an ethernet network port, with one of these.

  • Do you have a netgear wireless router, with 4 ethernet ports as seen in the picture, and an ethernet cable, and an ethernet port on your PC/laptop?

If so, wire it up, and try it..

Alternatively, put the phone lead back in the router, and try,

    start, run, cmd

    ping https://www.google.com

I am trying to see if your problem is a PC/IE problem, a wireless problem, a router problem, or a adsl problem
