Changing the deeds?

Hi all
I have recently added another bed room to my house (to make it a 3 bedroom house) by splitting a larger bedroom into two. A partition wall has been put up, own doorway, window etc.
How do i change my deeds to make the change legal?

Not sure that you need to worry about the deeds, I don't think they give details about the internal layout of the house, ours certainly don't. But Planning and Building Regs approval might be needed0

You won't need p/p (unless you have put a bay window in) but you may need B/Regs, check with your Council's Building Control.
I don't think you need do anything to the deeds.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

The house could be knocked down and it won't change the Land Registry entries. In due course when the Ordnance Survey might gice the Land Registry an updated plan not showing the house but it could be 20 years before that happens.
When you buy a house you actually buy the land which happens to have a house on it!RICHARD WEBSTER
