Transferring ISA

I want to transfer my ISA from HSBC to Halifax. I have 3k in it at the moment....1k from 2010/11 and 2k from April 11 onwards..

If I transfer this today can I still continue to pay into it monthly up to my allowance? (Another £3340)

Yes you can. On the ISA transfer form it asks whether any of the money is from this years contribution.

This part from the T and Cs confused me..

"I have not subscribed, and will not subscribe, to another cash ISA in the same tax year that I subscribe to this cash ISA"

Only if you transfer it to their variable rate account(s).

If you transfer it to their fixed rate product ......... then you can only make the initial deposit ......... which is the transfer value.
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !
