In France the Goverment have told Gillette to reduce the prices by 30% as they are over charging. Why don't our Goverment do the same on regular essential items.
Simple answer Rip off Britain. It is said two thirds of the population in the UK are going to be over 50 by the next election so its time the public showed they are tired of be dictated to and being forced to pay such high prices.

One thing I'm amazed no-one has mentioned yet - Mach3 Turbo blades and Mach 3 blades are the same thing - different colours, and the "turb" ones cost more, but the battery in the handle has nothing to do with the blades.
The same is true of thier 5-blade razor (Although they've started admitting it it is in the small print)0 -
I use the Gillette Sensor 3 (blades) with Optimal shave indicator strip (what a mouthful): give an excellent clean shave (barely any nicks) but bloody expensive at £8.79 for an 8 pack  However, i use each razor four times (four separate shaves).BLOODBATH IN THE EVENING THEN? OR PERHAPS THE AFTERNOON? OR THE MORNING? OH, FORGET THIS MALARKEY!

Having used the various Gillette systems I have noticed that once a new system is released, the fine shave that I had soon becomes very poor and I am forced to look at the new system and the cycle starts all over again. Bought a cut throat razor, fine on straight areas, however could not pluck up the courage to shave top lip (maybe this is why Victorian gentlemen all had moustaches!)0

Funnily enough my husband has also been complaining of Mach 3 blades (he's been using that system for years). They just don't last long enough nor shave well enough plus they are too expensive. They were really good when they first came out years ago. I wondered if it was the machines that are used to tool the blades that are wearing out. He's on the looking out for a better razor (blade). I think he bought some from Lidl to try but I'm not sure if he's actually used them yet.0
