Thanks Di, I emailed Benny. They upheld our complaint and we signed and returned the acceptance forms a few weeks ago; circumstances have changed though and we're pleading for them to pay us direct rather than offsetting. x0

They should pay you the interest and can set off the PPI and associated interest, though ask them nicely to pay you this as well.
The statutory interest they pay YOU is for using your money so that can't be set off against any balance.
If they don't at least do the above, write to them again or take it to the FOS (who might take a long time making a decision).0
