Form 10-K, for the UK?

Don't know if anyone else has read a 10-K (US regulatory filing) but I find them a lot more useful than the UK annual reports. They give a very detailed description of the business and how it operates, whereas annual reports don't seem to bother describing the operations and logitistics of the businesses.
Is there any UK version of this filing that describes the business in such detail that I haven't come across?
