Using ordinary wood stain in a sprayer

Mods, please move this if not in the right place.

I have a large tub of ordinary B&Q wood stain and a new shed. Can you put the stain in one of the Ronseal sprayers or do you need special stain for them?

Like this http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?hl=en&q=ronseal+power+sprayer&gbv=2&gs_upl=2969l4141l0l6109l8l8l0l2l2l0l234l1062l0.3.3l6l0&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=4674410389082267273#

I need to stain the shed, but have limited time and thought this might help???

Thanks in advance

We did try this in the Summer but found it kept clogging up the sprayer, we did intend on trying to water it down a bit but hey ho here we are in mid November and the new sprayer and the stain are still sitting in the garage where OH left them... good luck maybe try watering it down but I don't know if that would be ok or even work
