Messenger Plus Live

All Ms Sweven's pals at school have been downloading Messenger Plus Live which is a non-Microsoft 'improvement' for MSN Messenger.

I did a search and found this

which claims it's full of Ad/Spy/Malware

I haven't installed it on that basis. Does anyone know definitively if it's 'bad'?

while your installing it you get a option to install the optional sponsor program, if you click no its fine


its on that site because a few versions ago the guy who makes it was a bit sneaky and disguised the sponsor program liscence so if you didn't read it properly you might think its the eula for msgplus but because of complaints he's made it a bit more obvious

Well, there does seem some debate over whether this program is spy/ad/malware! Some people say it is and some say it is not! Who is to say who is correct?
