A while ago, I bought a flat pack of various circular batteries from a pound shop, and we have successfully used a couple of them, which means that we have got our money back.
This morning however, I tried to replace the battery in my OH's Seiko watch (small ladies variety). Initially I thought that the battery would fit, but the Seiko one is tiny, I have never seen one as small, and cannot even read the writing on it - smaller than a 364.
Any ideas folks, or will I have to visit a jewellery shop?

Can't give you a specific answer, but have a look here - http://www.watchbattery.co.uk/watchbatterytable.shtml
I have used the table & site to help me out in the past.0 -
Are there no marks/reference numbers on the battery. Often the batteries have different references for the same thing depending on supplier.

I have used this supplier with good results - I am not suggesting the battery though."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

There is a site here called battery market, but without the serial number you wont be able to match it. You could give them a ring and tell them what Seiko watch you have, and they may be able to advise.

If you took a picture of the battery and uploaded it, do you think you could zoom in enough to read it?
