scroll to bottom of screen and here it is:
What happens if I am overcharged?
If you have been overcharged in any of our stores we will gladly refund the difference (if you have been overcharged) and give you a £2 Gift card voucher for each product you have been mischarged for.
well may have to print this off as bought 4 items all overcharged and only got 1 £2 voucher.
May look for overcharges under £1, buy a load and make a small amount of money
I am often overcharged in Asda and always go to Customer Service where i get the difference back along with a £2 gift card. Last week i was overcharged on 2 products and was only offered one £2 giftcard - i asked if i should have 2 and mentioned this policy on the website. The manager cam along and dug out a Customer Service book and began to quote what it said. Told her what it says online and she gave me £4 in total. Went back in 2 days later and was overcharged again - manager was there this time and she said that head office had not confirmed the website policy but was hapy to give me £4. So stick to your guns everybody and if possible print of the policy and take it with you0 -
I was overcharged in Asda for the same thing as the op - 2 chickens for £5. All I got back was the difference!!!0

I was overcharged and only given the difference. I emailed Asda Customer Service and told them I didn't get a £2 gift card and they asked for my address and sent it in the post. Came through within a week. Try emailing them if you should have been given the gift card. You never know.

I know that Asda used to refund the difference and give a £2 gift card.
Is this a new policy to keep up with tesco or did we just get lucky. Anyone else had any experience of this lately.

I've only been overcharged once at Asda, by about £3.50, when a multibuy didn't work. They refunded double the difference back to my card.0
