Well guys, thanks for your help, but running around like a headless chicken, I not only didn't appeal, but was late with the payment (1 day over the 14 day limit), so I now have to pay £50. The only thing is, we are planning to scrap the car, and will declare it SORN asap. Can I get out of this ticket? I was driving, but the car is registered in my father's name.
Thank you.
Where's your pepipoo thread? Start one if you have not already.
Are you saying you have already paid, or that you would now have to pay the full penalty as you're past the 14 days? Either way you can still appeal (if you have not fully paid) and if you are now in for the full £50 then it's a no-brainer to appeal to adjudication, all the way. Except that your Dad would have to actually have his name on the appeal and you could go to adjudication only with him I believe (it's his ticket).
If you lose you will have to pay...£50. So why pay sooner when you may pay nothing?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Anything of use on here?0 -
You need to post that on a pepipoo thread and also show the back of the PCN. Start your own thread over there.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks Coupon Mad. No, I haven't paid, nor appealed, so now owe the full amount. I thought I had a couple more days left...I have started a pepipoo thread, but received 2 replies, and took forever to get back to the gentleman requesting the photo of my PCN. I have uploaded it now, and hopefully someone'll help me out. I KNOW it's entirely my fault, but with work, etc, it slipped my mind. But still, it sucks!0

Do not ignore it either appeal as Coupon mad says or pay it. Otherwise it could escalate and end up with bailiffs chasing your Dad! SORNing the car wont make any difference now as the deed is done!0

Hi, do you mean appeal now? Or wait until I get a Notice to Owner?0

You may as well appeal now - some Councils will re-offer the discount even if you are just over the 14 days, which you are. You have nothing to lose, just do an informal appeal and take it from there. Post on your pepipoo thread whatever reply you get, and the NTO, if the case rumbles on.PRIVATE 'PCN'?
