When I was at Watford they were demonstrating the capsules and coffee right as you walk in, past the TVs and kind of on the left just before you get to the jewellery display. They were piled up high in boxes behind the demonstrator who was making the coffee and handing it out. The machines were in the same aisle as the regular coffee machines.

Costco are great on the phone - if you call them with your card number they will usually give you stock information. I will be at Watford again before Xmas so I will take another look. I assure you I didnt imagine it - I had a long conversation with the demonstrator at how surprised I was to see the pods - Im just annoyed I didnt buy them now as so many friends have said they'd like to try the pods too.

The capsules were in a very plain brown box - no fancy packaging.

We were also there when they were demonstrating these. However the pods seem to have only been available when the demo was on. Those pods that were left after the demo was finished may have then been sold later, but they do not appear to have had any since! Hopefully that may change, but I'm not holding my breath as often when Costco are running a sponsored promo, then when it's gone it's gone and is never seen again unless another promo takes place

But at £18 for 60 pods (30p per pod) that's more than or about the same as an original Nespresso pod. So why bother, especially as Nespresso are currently offering free delivery if you are suffcient.

It's also worth noting that whenever I order the pods direct from Nespresso I only ever use standard delivery. That is because with only one exception (it took 2 days) they have always been delivered the next day. So do not bother paying for the premium next day delivery as you'll likely get them then anyway and if not within 2 days.

I agree - the service from Nespresso is fantastic (always arrives next day for me, even with standard delivery). Once we had a bashed box of 100 capsules and they replaced the lot and told to keep the bashed ones (which were perfectly useable still!). Only negative, which is probably just a question of taste, the Christmas special flavours taste pretty rank (dark cherry, chocolate ad vanilla flavours) imo......

£21.49 for 30 capsules? The price is a little steep.

I was just trying to see if someone would tell me if this is the type that were at costco (presumably much cheaper than amazon!).

  • Has anyone tried ukbusinesssupplies, they sell Nespresso Compatible Pods. I've tried the 36 taster pack and they seem really nice.

Still got 1-2 left but willl probably move over to them except for when Nespresso bring some special flavours out :)
  • There are a few companies that are moving into the coffee capsule or coffee pod market to compete with Nespresso capsules. You can see one of the latest companies that sell the nespresso caplsule at
    dualitespressopods.co.uk

These are from Dualit who make the toasters - and they launched a new capsule in the last few days.

    Hi Guys,

Was in Costco in Bushey (Watford) yesterday evening and gave up looking for the nespresso capsules after having a really good look in the coffee aisle. I did ask a member of staff who shrugged and sort of casually waved in the direction of the other coffee telling us (through a series of grunting noises) that all the coffee they had was over there.

I did not believe this man because I got the distinct impression he hadn't thought about what I'd asked or even heard what I said at all.

So I decided to google it, found this thread and went hunting. I found the dualit nespresso pods in the same aisle as the coffee machines themselves and yes they're a a lot cheaper, although the caps have perforated bottoms so the coffee has leaked out a bit and I'm not convinced they taste as good. But yes, they are being sold in Costco and they are much cheaper.
