Tree removal

Hi all
I realise this is a 'how long is piece of string' question however -

We have a big conifer tree in our front garden. Current size is approx four foot tall, however it has been chopped in half by old house owner so could be anything from 8 foot+ if it was full height so hopefully gives some idea of width.

Can anyone give me an approx cost on removal (realise it will be very approx). I live in South East Eng if that makes a difference. Also, how best to find a tree surgeon, is there a register or anything? The tree is quite near a drain so keen to make sure it is done properly to avoid damage.

Thanks in advance

Four foot is big for a bonsai, but not for a conifer.

Removal is going to be about £20 cash I would suspect

Yellow pages or ask your local council if they do a vetted trader scheme
