Cash back on credit card

This iS a what if situation and hopefully will never happen.

I have quite a lot of cashback on a Thomas Cook credit card.

If the company goes into administration how does that affect cash back as it can only be used on Tc holidays etc ?

If the company goes into administration that implies it's still trading so you would be able to use it.

If they go bust, you're doomed.

If they go in to administration and / or get taken over, the T&Cs of the scheme remain open.

Those T&Cs can almost certainly be varied though. Forcing you to spend sooner. Or, if it's a points scheme, changing the value of each point.
