getting double glazing

My landlord informed me tonight that we are having double glazing put in tomorrow - which is good, but what do I need to do to prepare?

They are coming when I'm at work so ill take everything off windowsills and take down the curtains before I leave, but what about big stuff like the bed? There's about a foot of space between it and the window - is that enough for them?

Don't want the builders to be having to move furniture around as I live in a small place and I don't want them to move the bed and see all the stuff I've stored/stuffed underneath!!

In your position I would make sure that they can move the bed to gain better access to the window. Apart from the basic access issue, there will inevitably be a little dust etc and you really don't want to be sleeping in bits of plaster. If necessary move the stuff from underneath the bed, plonk it on the bed when you get up in the morning and let them move the bed as they wish.
