CashBack Sites

I mentioned this in the Quidco thread but I think it's a bit of a false economy really. people use mobile phone deals as an example of how you can "save" with quidco, but with the length of time it takes for quidco to pay out, you can't realistically count it towards anything.
But if you use the cashback sites as a sort of 'account' that allows you the occasional treat then maybe it's not so bad.
i've got £105 pounds in transactions on Quidco and i'm looking at it in the sense that if it can all be tracked and paid by next may or june, i can clear off the remainder of my JD Williams catalogue account.0 -
Flipping heack Dave - nearly 3 grand?! YOu must buy alot! I've had chance to a few on No Brainers now and they've all succesfully tracked. I've done Audible, LoveFilm, Heart Games, Badoo, Caesars and Privacy Guard so far. About £50 I think tracked, and only cost me £10. I know it'll b enext year before I see any of it but who cares!
It seems Topcashback actually do better rates than quidco on many of the sites, might use them more for regular shopping more than Quidco too.0 -
What does "cashback tracked" mean? I'm new to all this and am looking to make the most of all my spending by getting as much back in rewards etc as I can!Regards

and bits of lose change from a few othersReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0 -
Hey StueyMac,
If its showing as tracked, thats good. It means that your purchase has been registered with Quidco, Topcashback or whoever you're with. It will then usually move on to 'confirmed' or 'verified'. This is when the merchant has confirmed that you have met the requirements of the purchase. If you use an additional voucher code that is not allowed with the cash back, or you cancel or return a product after buying it, it may become 'Declined' instead.
When you're at the 'confirmed' stage, all is very good, and you're then just playing the waiting game. When the merchant pays the cashback site, the cashback site pays you. This can take anything from 2 weeks to 6 months depending on the merchent. Payment speeds are usually shown on the merchant link on the cashback site, or you if you're doing the nobrainers list, the second to last column on the right0 -
well done joe. just think, when it pays out this time next year you'll at least be sorted for christmas 2012

Topcashback have been doing it for years, and often £2.50 and more recently £5. No 5 annual fee unlike QuidcoThought it might be worth mentioning for anyone not already a member of Quidco - NoBrainers (Link at top of thread) have also started offering £1.50 signup bonus which gets added straight into your Quidco account. Better than nothing!0

Thought I'd just give you a heads up that NoBrainers do a £5 TopCashback bonus too. Good if you not joined yet. I agree, they're better than Quidco!
