send the 2nd child's birth certificate to child benefit office with the form together with 1st child answer, and tax credits just information them the date of birth of the 2nd child.
all the best.0 -
There's a space on the forms for the child benefit number for an existing child benefit claim, which you fill in, so that they can add the second child on to your child benefit claim.
Ours took about 2 weeks to be sorted out earlier this year when we added our second child on. I think if you don't provide the existing child benefit number it can take longer to be updated, as my friend found out last year.0 -
Flight, have you any children?
You are being very judgemental by presuming the OP doesn't work and just claims benefits for the second baby she didn't want, she just had for the money! HOW VERY RUDE!
I am pregnant with my second child - I work full time, my partner is self employed and works over 50 hours a week - we get CTC and WTC on top of that, oh and CB. Not a lot mind, but it helps us. We don't sit on our backsides all day watching jeremy kyle, we pay for nursery and go out to work for a living, getting help that the government think we need.0 -
Don't care to be honest. I want the government to target CTC and CB to limit 1 child per household. To save the taxpayers! We are £4.8 trillion pound behind. And that including all those who had more childrens on CTC and CB to have over £8000 in tax credits! Disgraceful.
And think about those in 1960's and 1970's as alots of hard working familes had to pay their own way to have 2 or more than 3 childrens and they didn't get any CTC at all. If they can manage it, I don't see why not scrap CTC once for all to end all these girls getting pregnant!
This country in UK is a joke of very high birth rate went too fast!
Maybe this would be better suited for Discussion Time as it doesn't seem to be answering the OP's question.0 -
:rotfl:Yet flight you claim EVERYTHING from the state!!!!
GO AWAY
The OP was asking a simple question, do not assume things :mad:0
