WHSmiths are currently doing this book:
New Complete Book Of Self Sufficiency- Amazon Link
for £5, reduced from £20. Obviously it's not *just* about growing things, but it has loads about it, and is a damn good read anyway

wow thats a good price. I bought my copy last summer for my birthday and it was £20. Its a very useful book with loads of good advice. The planting year and plot through the seasons. It's also got a wishful thinking bit about larger land areas and keeping livestock.0
