Is it a genuine battery, or a compatible clone?
Your lucky it did not catch fire.... You should make a strong complaint, take photo's, and ensure someone at apple knows exactly what happened.
It could lead to a possible battery recall,if there is a risk other users could experience similar problems.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -
HappyChappy - you haven't told us how many cycles you've done. 300 has always been a guide though for the non - 'sealed' batteries.0

Ah right, sorry, I don't get images here, nor even a placeholder! 606 is way over the 300 'guide' for 'removable batteries, and HappyChappy84 has already stated Apple's claim of 1,000 cycles for the 'non-removable' ones so if he has one of those computers he should use that as ammo for a free replacement at an Apple Store...
And should tell us how it goes too...0 -
Mine is a none removable battery. I'll call Apple Care on Monday when I'm home and I'll let you know how I get on.
It wasn't me that stated that the battery should last 1,000 cycles though so I'm a bit dubious about this.0 -
Have a look at the apple website then.

It has those magic words 'up to' 1000 charges - depending on age, condition of laptop, use it's had, and the mood of the person you speak to, as well as your own attitude, you might get somewhere. If the laptop is under 3 yrs old I'd be disappointed with it.0
