Farmville I am a bit worried about you buying whisky hoping for an APG:( It will not show as on offer at Tesco tomorrow on my supermarket (unless Tesco extend the offer, which sometimes happens) so you MAY not get an APG as it might compare against the full price. This is one of the reasons I do not shop for an APG on a Monday.

Its still on offer in Sainsburys at £20 til the new year though, won't that be ok? I was going to embark on a whisky-buying-womble fest later as the breeze is kicking up nicely here.

Can actually beat you this time sinw - Ive been wombling more at Morrisons the last few weeks and have enough receipts now to collect one £25 voucher, and on target for another 4. Only one of those required receipts has been from a personal purchase (mainly blue dragon shot and tassimo pods, so very little financial outlay). Have wombled receipts for this offer last two years - very rewarding!

Apparently the j20 is b1g2f from today (or tomorrow) - in case anyone likes that for christmas.

I have, for once, something good and positive to say about Tesco. 3 years ago we bought a 37" lcd technica tv from them which recently would not come out of standby. OH checked on mse about consumer rights and stuff and decided to bite the bullet and phone tesco dundee even though we did not take out any extra time protection insurance or anything. Apparently government guidelines on tvs are that they should last 6 years!

We had to fill in a form (yawn) and provide proof of purchase, which we did. Today a letter came from Tesco saying "... we want to offer our customer the best service possible. This is why we have a process in place that allows us the chance to give our customers a gesture of goodwill towards the original value of the product. As products like these decrease in value over time, I'm unable to offer a full refund. However, I do agree that the TV should have lasted longer than 35 months therefore Ive requested a cheque be sent out to you to the value of £111.00".

That'll go nicely towards a new one. We've been watching on a 15" portable last few weeks and held fire on buying a new one waiting on Tesco comment.

    Overall quite pleased with that.

If it is on offer in Sainsburys then it will be ok. Farmville never said anything about Sainsbury's offer so I thought they were going to loose out on a fair bit of dosh.

I was never able to womble any morrisons receipts this year and jsut have 2 from my Tassimo buys so no free dosh for me:( Congrats to you mags and sinw on your wombles.

Congrats on the tv, first I knew about a tv supposed to last 6 years, but worth knowing, so thanks.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

  • Thanks for the wombling praise! Blue - I think the whiskey is on offer in Sainsburys til new year and I always remember what you say about the changeover day for offers in A and T and for your beginners tips on apgs.

Well the TV thing was new to me also. Like you say def worth knowing. A lot of people who've had a TV for 3 years would just think it bad luck when they give up the ghost. Well, just to show that its worth pursuing.

And well done to MAG and Sin on the wombles.I'm either rubbish at it or they are much tidier up here in the frozen north,But i can keep hoping!!

Disappointing T shop today.Spent too much on stocking filler chocolates, forgot my clubcard vouchers and didn't have half the stuff i had MOC for. Oh well £40 down to £25 (using a JTD) is better than a kick in the teeth i guess.
