How to invest in an investment bond

We currently have ISA's with Fidelity via Cavendish and we are looking to invest a sizeable amount outside an ISA, but would like to have it included in an investment bond wrapper.
I have phoned Fidelity and they say that you can only invest in a investment bond via a broker? Is there any way of going direct?
Thanks for any advise.

advice no as it's a regulated activity.
chat yes.
Why do you want an investment bond? Do you understand the tax treatment of them compared to collectives?
There are big differences, and if you don't know what they are you need professional advice.
I'd suggest you talk to a Financial Adviser and get real advice that comes in writing, with full justification and consumer protection built in.

You asked this question earlier on another thread. Any reason why you are asking again?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I actually asked this yesterday but it floated down the list with no responses, so rather than bumping this one, I asked on the other thread, I did apologise for hijacking the other thread, but then someone found this one.

Ok, I will repeat my question I asked on that one....
What is it about the investment bond tax wrapper that you feel suits your tax position?
Would it be onshore or offshore versions that you would utilise?
How many segments do you think would be enough for your needs?
Why on earth would you want the version sold by Fidelity? (I wouldnt)
Would you be utilising future ISA allowances with new money or could you use bed & ISA to use those allowances via the general investment account if you had one of those? (unwrapped unit trusts/OEICs).
The investment bond wrapper is a niche wrapper. It suits a minority of people. It may suit you but it probably doesnt.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
