Three do sell some routers you can plug the dongle in to. However I think they're only available in the shops, not on the website. There's a new one out which is quite funky. They should be able to advise if you call them.
Alternatively you can buy a MiFi device instead of a dongle (it's a type of dongle which creates a wireless network), or, buy your own router - we had one called an Edimax 3G-6200n which was OK and now have a Solwise one which is fine too. There aren't that many on the market though. post back if you need any more help.0 -
I use one of these http://www.tenda.cn/tendacn/product/show.aspx?productid=374 with my 3 dongle when away from home and have had no problem with it.0

Search ebay for Huawei D100 router, the one you want is the little box one,
not the t-mobile one.
Or treat her to a mifi device, the older E5830 still works perfectly fine and
you should be able to get one on ebay for under £30.
The newer E585 for about £40 - £50 and the brand spanking new E586 for
£60 - £70
The mifi devices you just pop your sim in and switch it on and it makes a wifi
signal0 -
Hello,
Yes you'll need a MiFi device to plug it into which creates a wireless network out of your WiFi dongle.
All the WiFi dongle does is receive a wireless signal from Three which lets you go on the internet on whichever computer the WiFi dongle is plugged in to.
The MiFi device would let you take the signal and create a wireless network with it, meaning that you would be able to go on the internet through your dongle on your iPhone.
Hope that helps0 -
A MiFi device does not require a dongle, as it takes it's own SIM card. I still use my (3UK) D100 unit, which is made by Huawei, it will take most Huawei dongles, but will refuse to conne t to those from other manufacturers, so it is important to check first! These can be picked up for around £15 and are well worth the investment. They are no longer available direct from 3UK.0

Looking on the 3 website, the dongle she has is the Huewei E353. She's had it about 3 or 4 months. Will double check this when i'm at her house this weekend.Looking on Ebay, there are loads of routers. Can someone post a link to the actual one I should buy?! Im so confused!!0

An example Don't overpay. £15 including postage is ok.
Perhaps you should write to the vendor to ensure the modem is compatible.0 -
Something like this TP-Link TL-MR3220 will have a bit more range.0

Hi, I work for Three and might be able to help.
We've launched a new box today in 3Stores that you stick your dongle into and it'll turn it into a WiFi signal. It's unlocked to all networks, and costs £39.99. I know it works with the current range of dongles, but staff instore should be able to check your dongle for compatibility.
