Just filled in an application form and pressed the print tab and the form disappeared and was replaced by an error message. Tried webchat to find out what is going on and am told that my browser (Firefox) is not supported. Tried IE and am told same thing. Is there any browser that the site supports and does anyone have their email address?

Printing off the application worked for me using IE last week.
Not got their email address , but if it helps, here is the number for their Fixed Term Savings Dept: 0800 707 6584.Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0 -
Seems they may have withdrawn the 2yr fixed rate ISA0

My dad had an appointment at Yorkshire Bank yesterday for the ISA and was told it was going off-sale at the close of businesss - was only open for a matter of days.0

I was told:
"You need to use Internet Explorer 7.0, Firefox 3.5, Flash, Windows XP or above and 1GB of RAM."
Clearly they had no clue and were just reading from a script. I can only assume that the printing support comes from flash - but why not just let the browser print it?!
Considering the latest version of Firefox is 8.0, I do wonder why they request people to use version 3.5.0 -
I have to laugh at the ineptitude of some organisations. Following my original post I contacted YB about their webchat facility and difficulty in contacting by email and got the following reply.
In response to your message dated 22/11/2011 regarding contacting Yorkshire Bank.
Unfortunately we are unable to speak to customers via webchat and do not have an email address we are able to give out.
Thank you for using the Yorkshire Bank Contact Us Service.

It may be meant to be read as meaning "You need to use Internet Explorer 7.0 or above , Firefox 3.5 or above, Windows XP or above...," though the presence of Flash without a version number in the list does count against that theory.
It is obviously sloppily phrased. Is 2GB of RAM too much for it to work?0 -
I decided to open a 12 month term savings account with The Yorkshire.
What an antiquated system. You have to apply on line, print form & send cheque. Then you hear nothing ! The cheque is cashed, still nothing. No letter- no e-mail nothing.
I e-mailed their on line help service. The reply was to ring in. This I did, my details were taken & I was told I would be called back- that was over a week ago - nothing.
Only by directly e-mailing the CEO, I got a call back, followed a few days later by a certificate for the deposit.
I was going to open another account, but not now.
Truly rubbish system, not a bit customer friendly service, especially when they want your money.0 -
I applied online, received a confirmation email at the time of submitting the application, and then a further email once the cheque and application form had been received. I received the Certificate of Deposit not long afterwards.
And I printed my form successfully using FireFox.

It is always different this time. The only thing that is the same is the outcome.

Applied for fixed term deposit with Yorkshire Bank
19th Nov - Posted application form and cheque.
22nd Nov - Received text message telling me they have received application and are processing it.
28th Nov - The Cheque got paid in today, but YB will backdate any interest from the 23rd Nov, which will also be the date of opening on the Certificate of Deposit.
29th Nov - Cheque cashed, funds left my current account today.
When I spoke to them today they did say they were very busy processing applications for these fixed term savings accounts and are currently working through the backlog.Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0
