Clueless and need your help please.

Hi,
I really struggle with computer technology and have developed a problem which is starting to drive me mad. I'd be really grateful if any of you could advise me what I need to do please.

About a week ago and every time I have logged on since something called babylon has come up in the address bar, it also appears as a pop up. I haven't opened it and I don't know how to get rid of it.

Also today a box keeps popping up about Internet script error, 'syntax error'.

There are lots of extra stuff on the tool bars appearing too.

A box with mobile surf filter keeps popping up as well.

Until recently my techie stuff was monitored and dealt with by my employers and I never had to think about it.

When I became redundant I got the internet through BT and none of these things happened before.

Should I be worried about security? I really haven't got a clue.

Sounds like your PC has got infected with a virus or malware.

look in control panel, add/remove programs or programs/features and uninstall all the toolbars and babylon, searchqu if you have it

scan with malwarebytes

post a hijackthis log
