Outlook folders

Options
I have recently changed my email address from Virgin to gmx. I have set up a forward on my Virgin account to my new gmx account. I use Outlook on my pc for my email and I have several folders in my Virgin inbox. Can I safely drag and drop these folders to the gmx inbox in outlook without losing anything? Or is there another way to do this?

Thanks.

  • yes you can. or you can just point your GMX email to your existing pst file instead of creating a new one.

point your GMX email to your existing pst file instead of creating a new one.

What does that mean?? Pst file?
  • the pst file is the data file in Outlook. Normally stored in documents and settings\"username"\local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook
Any email that comes into Outlook gets stored in the data file (pst file), so you can use the same one for Virgin and GMX which means nothing changes from a visual aspect for you as Outlook just looks the same as it did
