2 adults 2 kids age 10 and 9
hubby on high rate mob and middle rate care
i claim careres allowence
we get child tax credits
we also get some help with mortage payments
benefits people are saying it's changed because i get carers, but if it is that it's taken them since May to change the payments....???

It'd depend on the mortgage.
Is your only income carers?
Does your husband have no income other than benefits?
Changed in what way?0 -
we'd been getting £105ish ESA a week now dropped to £81ish ESA.... they said something to do with carers allowence????0

The benefits we claim are our only income, hubby has got Primary Progressive MS so no longer works.0

Has your husband been getting a severe disability premium as part of his ESA payment?
Receiving Carer's Allowance could mean losing the disability premium.

Presuming your husband is receiving income based ESA for the both of you your Carer's Allowance will count as income and be taken into account when working out how much ESA should be paid.

If you contact the DWP they should be able to give you a break down of how the payment has been calculated0
