After the 1st yr can you put the yr2 cash allowance into the same ISA or do I have to open up a new one?

The majority of term deposits only allow one deposit, which you would have used. So chances are you have to open a new one elsewhere.0

thanks for this..To be honest I have always saved with Britannia. This might be a good opportunity to shop around. We have a 1 yr fixed maturing and a 2 yrs one with about 16 months to go..Might look at transferring the 1yrs ISA to another provider. The majority of term deposits only allow one deposit, which you would have used. So chances are you have to open a new one elsewhere.0
