have you checked your job contracts ?
in the past some of mine have said that I can not work for any other company while employed for them as it should be the sole focus of employment
if you drive does your insurer also know about your part time job ? failure to disclose can lead to insurance suspension

I suspected so. It is small wonder then that your current employers think you were poaching customers. What you thought you were doing is obviously not what they thought you were doing, and wasn't the smartest move. So you had better hope that they aren't really difficult about it, because a really difficult company might contact the third employer and threaten to sue them for encoraging you to poach their customers whilst still working for them! Whether they could do so is really isn't relevant - the fastest way to avoid that claim would be to withdraw your job offer.
