Hello there, I'm looking to buy a speaker dock for an Ipod touch, what should I be looking for? It will be used indoors by a teenager so I guess it should ideally make the walls shake;) Argos seem to have some half price ones £50ish are these ok or do I need to spend more?
Off out for a while now so I'll check replies later, thanks guys.

Hi all,
After looking at possibly every iPod dock for my girlfriend in the under £150.00 price range I settled on this one:
Teac SR-LUXi
I got it for £79.90 from Peter Tyson. This was way back in June 2011 so there maybe newer models which fit the bill more.
She has an iPod Touch 4G and when I tested it worked fine and was surprisingly loud as well as the sound being quite decent too. I was impressed. Remote was pretty handy too as well as the dimming light.
I can't give anymore details(such as radio reception etc.) I'm afraid as I don't live with the unit, but if you have any questions feel free to ask and I will pass them on and hopefully supply some answers.
During my time looking (I spend a whole day and a half!) I found some that were good and ticked all the boxes but then wasn't compatible with the 4G as it was new at the time. So maybe something to think about when making your decision. Make sure it's compatible and if certain features aren't, can you live without them.
Hope this helps!0 -
I've got the B&W Zeppelin and it's amazing, £400 though.0

The sub-£100 JBL docks are reckoned to be pretty good.
A friend has the £55 On Stage and the sound quality is surprising for the size of the unit.

If you can find JBL On Tour then I can recommend strongly. Great sound for the size. Very portable. Should be around £40 but I bought mine 5 years ago so may be discontinued. It's not a docking system, you connect your MP3 by cable but this means you can also use these speakers with laptop, desktop or netbook.0

got a cracking technika one from tesco last year, included a cd player and am/fm radio and remote control, and good sound quality to boot
Was around £35-£40
