in Credit cards
Hello all,
Quick question for the gurus on here...
I'm going to apply for the barclycard 0%
But looking to get around 6k limit....
My current exposure is
Overdraft =600
Mbna=7000 (life of balance) 8k limit
Rbs = 600 ( spending card) 6k limit
I earn around 32k, stable job....
My thoughts are, is it better in people opinion, to apply for the 0% and tick balance transfer And transfer 5k onto the rbs card putting it into positive.... Or to reduce the credit limit dramatically on the rbs and apply as normal....
Thanks for reading, hope to hear from you all soon...

living (if you do) in an overdraft is generally bad news credit rating wise
in general CCs don't allow 'positive' credit balances so make sure yours does before trying0 -
What's your objective here? To try and get £6K cash? Such a positive balance on RBS will set all sorts of alarm bells ringing. And if they bounce the money back to Barclaycard you've paid a BT fee for nothing.
As to cutting the RBS limit "dramatically"...you're already maxed out (at nearly 90% used) on MBNA. Cutting your RBS limit will give the impression you're really struggling with your debt.0
