Renovation/conversion insurance needed?

I apologise if this has been brought up before, but does anyone know how to go about finding a insurance supplier for covering my home while building works are going ahead. We are using subcontractors to undertake a loft conversion and kitchen extention and do not wish to risk it to their insurance. Is there a site that I can go to which will list specialist renovation/conversion insurers?
thanks
thanks
I had a plan..........its here somewhere.

Yes, they won't cover the building works, or any accidental damage to the property that the builders might do. Leaks etc.I had a plan..........its here somewhere.0 -
Very few household insurancers will cover this, best to speak to a local insurance broker to find one who will.
The contractors should have insurance in place for an damage they do, if not be very very cautious, you may of found yourself a cowboy outfit!0
